Polls are a new feature that we’ve added to walls on Inkitt, as a way for readers and authors to interact with each other! Authors can create polls asking questions to their readers, and readers can vote for their favorite answer.
Why can’t I see polls?
Currently, polls are only available to users when they’re on version 2.15.9 or higher of the app or on the web. If you’re not seeing polls, please try updating your app and you should be good to go.
If you’re still having problems with polls after updating, please reach out to customer support for additional assistance!
How can I create a poll?
To create a poll, make sure that you are on your own wall. There will be an additional icon next to the “Post” button, which allows you to create a poll!
Once you choose the poll button, you will be able to add your question in a text box, and then add your choices. You need to have a minimum of two choices to create a poll, but you can create up to 25.
Can I decide how long my poll runs?
Yes! While not required, we do provide the optional ability to add an end date to your poll. If you leave this blank, people will be able to vote in the poll forever, unless the poll is removed from your wall.
Can I edit my poll after it’s created?
Once your poll is created, it cannot be edited.
If you notice a mistake after creating your poll, you can remove the post from your wall, and create a new poll.
Can I vote in a poll more than once?
No, it is not possible to vote in a poll more than once.
Can I change my Vote?
Yes! We know that mistakes can happen, so you’re able to change your vote if you accidentally selected an option that you didn’t mean to select.
