When you first join Inkitt, we ask that you verify the email address linked to your account. It’s a quick and easy process and will allow you to interact with Inkitt content in ways that aren’t available with an unverified email.
How to Verify:
You are automatically sent a verification/activation email when you sign up.
- Look in your inbox for an email titled, ‘Inkitt - Confirm Email.’
- Open the email and click on the link, ‘Click HERE to confirm Email Address.’
Note: if you are not receiving verification emails, please add noreply@inkitt.com to your email contacts – not your phone contacts – and check your spam folder.
If you still can’t find the email, you can follow the below steps to resend the verification email:
App:
- Open the Inkitt App on your device
- Log in, if you haven’t already
- Go to the Discover Tab
- Tap the orange “Tap to confirm your email” banner to send a new verification email to your email
Web:
- In a web browser, go to www.inkitt.com
- Log in, if you haven’t already
- At the top of the page, tap the “Re-send email link” in the green banner to send a new verification email to your email.
Why do I have to verify my email address?
After setting up your account, we ask that you verify your email address to ensure seamless communication and security and to ensure that you can interact with content on Inkitt.
Without verifying your email address, you will not be able to:
- Submit a story
- Update a story
- Post comments on stories, reviews, or wall posts
- Leave reviews
- Post in groups
- Write or edit your profile description
- Follow other users
Please note that while you will not be able to submit stories on Inkitt, you will be able to save drafts if you have already started writing. You just will not be able to submit it to our website until your email address is verified.
If your email isn’t verified yet, you can still interact with Inkitt content in the following ways:
- Leaving likes on chapters, comments, reviews, and posts
- Leaving emoji feedback at the end of a chapter
- Adding stories to your reading lists
