Changing Your Posting Settings
To change these settings, follow these steps:
- Access the Settings Screen: Navigate to your profile settings screen. This can typically be found in your profile or account settings menu.
- Find the "Who Can Post on Your Wall" Option: In the settings screen, look for the option that allows you to specify who can post on your wall.
- Select Your Preferred Option: Choose one of the four options mentioned above based on your preferences.
- Save Your Changes: Be sure to save your updated settings to apply the new posting restrictions.
What do the settings mean?
Anyone
- This is the default setting for all users.
- If you select "Anyone," anyone can post on your wall without restrictions. Your wall remains open to all users.
- The posting process will look the same as it does now, and no additional messages will appear.
Only Followers
- When you choose "Only Followers," only those who follow you can post on your wall.
- Users who don't follow you will see a note that says, "Follow the author to post on their wall" if they try to post.
Only Users the Author Follows
- Selecting this option restricts wall posts to only those users whom you, as the wall owner, follow.
- There will be no message option for users on your wall who you do not follow.
Only the Author
- With this setting, only you, the author, can post on your wall.
- There will be no message option for users to post on your wall.
